  2008 Lifestyle Home

Opening:
Friday, November 21st from 11-1

Open House:
Saturday, November 22nd and
Sunday, November 23rd from 1-4

If vaulted ceilings, a wine and brewing cellar and a home theatre room sound glamorous to you, the Nova Scotia Home Builders’ Association’s (NSHBA) Lifestyle Home 2008 is sure to wow you.  Located at 26 Worthington Place in The Ravines of Bedford South, this home has upped the standard of luxurious living in Halifax.

Built by Cresco, this home is located in Shaughnessy at The Ravines of Bedford South, and offers walking trails, spectacular views and is minutes away from all amenities. This project is only one of many reasons why Cresco is one of the most experienced members of the NSHBA.  Cresco has built over 2000 single-family homes in some of Halifax’s most desirable neighbourhoods.  This achievement is an implicit statement of their abilities, and their diverse range of experience and expertise. Moreover, their intricate attention to detail helps make each Cresco home distinctively beautiful.

Complete with granite countertops, hardwood floors, sky lights, a games room and wet bar, this house could easily be called home.  Along with all of these luxury items, this home also showcases some of the most sought-after building features.  Upgraded brick and stone work, three ply shingles, large East and West facing windows, a heat pump heating and cooling system (combined with a Steffes heat storage system, enabling time-of-day electrical billing), a “grey water” recycling system, a solar heat water pre-heating system, R-2000 and EnviroHome certifications, and TechReady capabilities – this home is not just built for comfort, it’s built to last.

“With energy efficient systems, superior construction and high-end technology, this home is far beyond conventional,” says Brian McNeil of Cresco. “This home exemplifies what building should be and all of us at Cresco took pleasure in building it.” Every year, the NSHBA partners with a member company to build the most impressive home that money can buy.  In its 8th year, this initiative never fails to attract a crowd. ”This annual project is something we at the NSHBA look forward to,” says Paul Pettipas, CEO of NSHBA. “This home gives the residential construction industry a chance to showcase all the latest developments and luxuries that have been developed to date.”

Cresco and all of the Lifestyle Home’s sponsors hope to see you at the open house on Saturday, November 22nd and Sunday, November 23rd from 1-4.
