  Professional Renovators

Renovating your home is exciting.

It also gives you a lot
to think about.

Whether you plan to make minor improvements or major changes, you want to make sure the job is done right.

Professional renovators have the knowledge, experience and commitment to take your renovation from idea to successful completion
.

Design
An experienced renovator will work with you to get the most out of the space and features of your home; create new space to blend with the old; brighten up your home naturally; and combine comfort and practicality with style and great looks.

Structural work
Professional renovators will explain the technical aspects of your project. For instance, walls may have to be stripped and drywalled before installing new kitchen cabinets; old bathroom sub-flooring replaced; or I-beams installed in place of load-bearing walls. Additions must be carefully tied in with the existing structure.

System upgrades
The "invisible elements" can be an important part of your project. Your renovator will advise you if you need to install new electrical wiring and plumbing, relocate heating ducts and registers, or consider a new furnace to handle the extra heating requirements of an addition to your home.

Energy efficiency

Renovation offers a great opportunity to upgrade your home’s energy performance for comfort and savings. Your renovator will inspect your home and make appropriate recommendations about insulation, air/vapour barrier, and high-performance windows and doors.

A clean living environment
Controlling moisture, dust and pollutants can make a big difference in the air quality of your home. Consult with your renovator about ventilation, air filtration and low-odour finishing products. In a basement renovation, special measures like damp-proofing may be recommended.

Product selection

Choose products based on their quality and value; compatibility with your total look; maintenance requirements; and manufacturer’s warranty. Make sure that all products meet Canadian standards. Ask your renovator for advice.

Before the work begins
Professional renovators know what it takes to get the job done and protect your home at the same time! They will consult with you to determine the best access for trades, materials and equipment; how to safeguard your garden and how to isolate work areas from the rest of the house.

When you work with a professional renovation contractor, you can look forward to a positive experience and results that you will enjoy for years to come.
